Oxendine Announces Selection of Finance Chairman

Last week Republican gubernatorial front-runner John Oxendine announced the selection of Sam Kellett, Jr. to serve as the Finance Chairman in his campaign for Governor.

Mr. Kellett is an Atlanta native and highly successful entrepreneur with extensive business experience and contacts. His experience in fundraising includes co-founding and serving as a Chairman of The 159 Group, one of the largest fundraising entities for political candidates in Georgia.

“I am honored to have someone of Sam’s caliber leading our finance committee. His experience, knowledge, and outstanding reputation will go a long way in expanding our network – I know that he will take our finance operation to the next level,” remarked Oxendine.

Mr. Kellett is currently a partner at Arcadia Capital Partners, and serves on the boards of Inland Container Express, Arcadia Systems, and NAMX (National Automotive Market Exchange). He has a long history of being active in Georgia politics including appointments by Governor Sonny Perdue to the Board of Trustees of Georgia’s Public School Employee’s Retirement System (PSERS) and the Jekyll Island Authority.

This selection is the most recent in a series of moves by the Oxendine campaign over the last several months to bring on top-level talent. The announcement comes on the heels of Monday’s Survey USA poll that shows a commanding 16 point lead in the Republican Primary, and Tuesday’s release of the campaign’s first major broadcast media buy.
