Savannah Rapids Pavilion, 3300 Evans to Locks Road, Martinez, GA (North of Augusta)
Hundreds of Georgians who support clean water and a healthy environment will gather to hear candidates in the 2010 governor’s race discuss their views on water, energy, transportation and other environmental issues. The forum will be moderated by Mr. Rob Pavey, the Outdoors Editor of the Augusta Chronicle.
The forum is being hosted by the Georgia Water Coalition, an alliance of more than 170 organizations working to protect and care for Georgia’s water resources.
The forum is being held in conjunction with Paddle Georgia 2010. The sixth annual Paddle Georgia is a weeklong kayak and canoe adventure in which more than 300 people from 49 different Georgia counties travel more than 80 miles on the Broad and Savannah Rivers, from Franklin Springs to Augusta. Paddle Georgia is a project of the Georgia River Network.
